Hardie Board or James Hardie Board is a Fiber Cement siding product. It is made up of cement, sand, water, and fibrous cellulose, making it highly durable. It is in many cases a much better product than traditional vinyl siding.

James Hardie siding comes backed by a 30 year warranty but can outlast that warranty when properly installed and maintained. The paint warranty on Hardie Board is 25 years. James Hardie can be painted so it is important to paint James Hardie at the 25 year mark. A great benefit of this is that, if after 25 years, you want to change the color it is a great time to do so!
